Beef with Lemon Leaves

 

Ingredients

 

Boneless sirloin (300g)
Lemon leaves (6 pieces)
Olive oil (½ tablespoon)

 

Marinating ingredients

 

Soya sauce (1 tablespoon)
Olive oil (1 teaspoon)
White pepper (¼ teaspoon)

 

Sauce ingredients

 

Oyster sauce (2 tablespoons)
Cornstarch (1 teaspoon)
Water (2 tablespoons)

 

Directions

 

1. Cut beef across grain into thin slices.

 

2. Cut lemon leaves into small pieces.

 

3. Marinate beef with 3 shredded pieces of lemon leaves and marinating ingredients for 30 minutes.

 

4. Preheat ½ tablespoon of olive oil in a wok over high temperature, put in 3 shredded pieces of lemon leaves, stir-fry until sizzling.

 

5. Add in beef and 2 tbsp of oyster sauce.

 

6. When beef is almost cooked; quickly mix cornstarch and water together, pour into wok.

 

7. Saute until beef is ready and sauce is thick.
