Chicken in Black Pepper Sauce
Ingredients
Chicken cutlet (200g)
Onion (80g)
Green bell pepper (40g)
Chili pepper (5g)
Olive oil (1 tablespoon)
Chopped garlic (½ tablespoon)
Marinating ingredients
Soya sauce (1 teaspoon)
Rice wine (1 teaspoon)
Cornstarch (½ teaspoon)
Olive oil (½ teaspoon)
Sauce ingredients
Black pepper (¼ teaspoon)
Soya sauce (½ tablespoon)
Sugar (¼ teaspoon)
Corn starch (1 teaspoon)
Water (¼ cup)
Directions
1. Wash and cut chicken into strips (1 x 0.5 x 5cm).
2. Wash, drain and cut onion into half-rings.
3. Wash, drain, remove seeds and cut green bell pepper into small strips (1 x 5 cm).
4. Wash and cut chili pepper into thick slices (1 cm).
5. Mix chicken with marinating ingredients and set aside for 20 minutes.
6. Mix corn starch (1 tsp) and water (¼ cup) together and set aside.
7. Preheat the oil in a wok over high temperature, put in chili pepper and chopped garlic; stir fry until they are sizzling.
8. Add in chicken, soya sauce (½ tbsp), black pepper and sugar.
9. When chicken is half cooked, put in green bell pepper and onion.
10. Quickly remix corn starch solution (done in step #6) and add in.
11. Stir-fry until chicken is cooked and sauce is thick.
