Clams in Black Bean Sauce

 

Ingredients

 

Clams (1 kg)
Black bean sauce (1 tablespoon)
Chopped garlic (½ tablespoon)
Chopped Thai chili (½ teaspoon )
Olive oil (1 tablespoon)

Rice wine (1 tablespoon)

 

Sauce Ingredients

 

Chili Bean Sauce (1 teaspoon)
Sugar (½ teaspoon)
Water (½ cup)

Corn starch (1 teaspoon)

 

Directions

 

1. Soak clams into cold water for 1-2 hours.

 

2. Boil water and put clams in.  Once the clams open, remove them from boiled water and drain.

 

3. Pre-mix sauce ingredients together and set aside.

 

4. Preheat olive oil in a wok over high temperature, stir fry garlic, black bean sauce and Thai chili until sizzling. 

 

5. Add in clams and rice wine.

 

6. Re-mix sauce and pour it in the wok.

 

7. Cover the wok and let it cook for around 3 minutes.

 

8. Stir-fry until sauce is thick and clams are cooked.
